DEAC Outstanding Graduates and Famous Alumni Program

Outstanding Graduate Program Participation Guide

If your Institution has decided to participate in either the Outstanding Graduate or Famous Alumni program, you should pick one person to serve as your institution’s point of contact for the program. Your institution’s point of contact should use the steps below to complete the entry process.

1. Collect the necessary information for your Outstanding Graduate/Famous Alumni

You must complete the Outstanding Graduate Entry Form and/or the Famous Alumni Entry Form by March 20, 2024. The entry form consists of several sections: Institution Contact Details, Graduate/Alumni Entry Materials, Award Information, and Annual Conference Participation. Details on each section, including the information required for each section of the entry, are available below:

Institution Contact Details
You should pick one person to serve as your institution’s point of contact for the program. All program related communications and materials will be sent to the institution contact person.

Graduate/Alumni Entry Materials
This section of the entry form is used for your Graduate/Alumni entry materials (photo and write-up). Additionally, all entries must include a copy of the Media Release Form signed by your Graduate/Alumni.

Award and Annual Conference Information
This section of the entry form is used to indicate whether your institution would like to order a commemorative award for your Graduate/Alumni, and whether (at the university’s expense) you would like to invite your institution’s Graduate/Alumni to speak at the DEAC’s 2024 Annual Conference, taking place April 14-16 in San Antonio. Before Completing the Entry Form
It is not possible to save a partially completed entry form. You will need all the following information ready before beginning Outstanding Graduate or Famous Alumni Entry Forms:

  • Current contact information for your Graduate/Alumni.
  • A write-up of your Graduate or Alumni. (Guidelines for the writeup are provided on the submission form.)
  • A current photo of your Graduate or Alumni.
  • A copy of the Media Release Form signed by your graduate/alumni.

2. Complete Outstanding Graduate /Famous Alumni Entry Forms

Once you have the necessary information for your entry, you should complete the Outstanding Graduate/Famous Alumni Program Entry Forms. Outstanding Graduate and Famous Alumni Program Entry Forms must be completed by March 20, 2024. Please Note, DEAC reserves the right to remove incomplete or late entries from the Outstanding Graduates and Famous Alumni Program.

After submitting your entry, it will be reviewed by DEAC staff to ensure it adheres to all of the submission guidelines. You will receive a confirmation email that your entry is approved. Your entry is not final until you receive the confirmation email. Additionally, DEAC reserves the right to edit entries to ensure they conform to the published guidelines.
