Revisions to Standard V.A. General Program Requirements

The Commission reviewed the public comments and recommendations of the Standards Committee and voted to establish a degree category “applied bachelor’s” with no less than 90 and no more than 119 credits. The following language has been added to Standard V.A General Program Requirements to include this degree category:

2. Applied Bachelor’s degree – minimum of 90 semester hours or equivalent

A definition for “Applied Bachelor’s Degree” has been added to the Glossary.

These changes are now in effect, along with corresponding updates to substantive change applications. Please see the Substantive Change page to view applications.

Amendment to Part Two, Processes and Procedures, Section XIII, DEAC Accreditation Handbook

To align with updated U.S. Department of Education (USED) guidelines, revisions to the DEAC Arbitration Policy were necessary, specifically the removal of the binding arbitration provisions from Part Two, Processes and Procedures, Section XIII, Binding Arbitration, DEAC Accreditation Handbook.
